The William Cecil at Stamford re-opened in late July 2011 after a complete refurbishment inside and out.

The hotel lies within the magnificent Burghley Estate, the centrepiece of which is Burghley House, one of the foremost Treasure Houses of the United Kingdom. Within a 2 minute drive from the A1, the hotel, formerly known as The Lady Anne's Hotel, is perfect for both leisure and business uses. Our restaurant does recipes too – local, fresh and seasonal. Completely delicious. We can’t do it all though so we have had to make some hard decisions: no chintz; no drizzles, towers or stacks; no Magners; no managers in suits; no staff name badges; no mini-bars; no compulsory service charge... Our conference and events co-ordinator is on hand at all stages to offer advice and a personalised service to help ensure your days run smoothly. Getting to us is simple too – just off the A1 with quick rail links to London and the North.
