Set in a beautiful corner of the historic City of Winchester, the University is the ideal venue for your conference, exhibition or accommodation.

The University has nearly 1800 single bedrooms. Nearly 1000 of these bedrooms are en-suite which are located on both the King Alfred's Campus and West Downs Site. The University has over 50 meeting rooms, ranging in size from 5-308 delegates. Included within the range of facilities is The West Downs Centre, a grade II listed Victorian building, which has been ingeniously renovated to provide a light and modern conference centre, which still retains its original charm and character. The Stripe Complex provides a tiered lecture theatre to seat 308 delegates, an attractive open plan foyer and studio areas, perfect for exhibitions or breakout sessions. On the first floor, a large lecture room is also available which seats a further 196 delegates in moveable raked seating. Extensive sports facilities are available, including a gym and fitness room, tennis courts, sports hall and outdoor sports areas. Winchester itself is situated less than one hour from London, by train or car, and just 15 minutes from Southampton International Airport. The City is famous for its Cathedral, The Round Table of King Arthur fame and cobbled streets, as well as an abundance of fantastic shops and restaurants. Locally you can visit the New Forest, The Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth's historic dockyard.
