The first Norman Bishop of Norwich, Herbert de Losinga had his original palace here, so the claim is based on the site’s continuous use for hospitality since the middle of the 1090s. It is now an independently owned Hotel which has undergone a multi-million pound investment over the past 8 years. The hotel provides a perfect base to explore Norfolk, from the Broads to the coast to historic properties and gardens. Norwich International Airport is 5 miles away, with Norwich train station just 0.8 miles away.
