About the venue

The Royal Maritime Hotel is a 90-room multi-faceted wedding and conference venue, located in the heart of Portsmouth, just 5 minutes’ walk from the Portsmouth Harbour train station and 6-minutes’ walk from Gunwharf Quays.

The venue is a fully licensed wedding venue that can accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions up to 400 persons. There are several board rooms and plenary conference rooms and breakout rooms. Our main conference room, ‘Trafalgar’ can accommodate up to 400 guests, banquet style, on both the upper and lower decks. Our Hood’ boardroom can seat 30 persons for smaller meetings. The venue is also suitable for late-night parties due to its soundproof ‘Below Decks’ facility. Our conference rooms are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. We work with local suppliers who can cater to all your digital needs. Conference delegate day, half-day and overnight packages are available as well as special room rates. Several of our rooms can be styled or themed whichever way you choose. We have in-house professional wedding and conference planners who can advise you and take care of all the finer details. that will help you with the finer details of your event.
