About the venue

Hause Hall Farm is in Martindale which is in the heart of the northern Lake District National Park.

It is a five bedroom Grade II listed traditional farmhouse which overlooks the fells. Within Hause Hall farmhouse, four of its five bedrooms are ensuite and the fifth has a private bathroom across the hall. There is additional guest accommodation in the Cruik Barn which is a detached two storey stone barn which is directly across the yorkstone terrace from the farm house. It has a galleried living room with an open fire, a breakfasting kitchen and two ensuite bedrooms. The Stables is on the other side of the courtyard from the farm house. The Stables has two ground floor ensuite double bedrooms. Between the three Grade II listed buildings up to 18 guests can be accommodated in nine ensuite double bedrooms. For those interested in getting out walking, Hause Hall farm is in an ideal location as this area known as the Hidden Valleys is close to the Lake, in the middle of the National Park and has lots of footpaths accessible right from the front door. Hause Hall has an open log burning fire, a four oven aga, a separate gas hob and electric oven, two fridges, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a large open plan kitchen, family room dining room which will seat 18 guests and a lovely day room overlooking the mountains. There is also a second well equipped breakfasting kitchen in the Cruik Barn. Hause Hall Farm has free broadband wifi via satellite. We participate in the Visit England affinity programmes and in addition to being certified as a 5* standard by Quality in Tourism and winning a Gold Award for outstanding service in all areas, Hause Hall Farm has been certified as a “Walkers Welcome” cottage which means we provide additional facilities, equipment and information for our guests planning to get out and hike in the surrounding Lake District National Park. We also have several catering options from providers we know well. I can recommend all of them wholeheartedly and they would be happy to work with you on menus etc. Unlike some of the bigger hotels and venues, we do not build in any sort of mark up on catering or wine corkage. We also offer a corporate entertainment package at Hause Hall Farm via our cousin's Cumbrian Adventures activity provider and would be happy to help out with options for your consideration including clay pigeon shooting, giant zorb ball games, a Cumbrian Olympic sports session and archery.
