About the venue
The Upper House Hotel is a former Wedgwood residence, built in 1845 for Josiah Wedgwood's grandson, Francis Wedgwood.
This country house has been converted into a high quality, privately-owned hotel, retaining many of its original features. The Upper House Hotel has 22 en-suite bedrooms and is well situated for visitors to Wedgwood and the Potteries. It is set in a rural, peaceful location surrounded by woodland and landscaped gardens. The combination of original oak panelling and extensive period decoration forms a restful backdrop for individual guests, wedding receptions and company meetings or conferences. We pride ourselves on providing excellent cuisine and personal service. The Upper House Hotel makes the ideal setting for your conference, company away day or residential course. Combining superb, peaceful surroundings with excellent food and well-appointed facilities, we can cater for up to 150 delegates. We can provide accommodation for up to 30 guests.
