About the venue
Designed to inspire creative events, RIBA Venues is the conference and events arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and is located in an architecturally significant building in the heart of London.
The light-flooded venue, located at 66 Portland Place, was opened in 1934 as the headquarters of RIBA. Today, it boasts a number of event spaces equipped for a variety of events from conferences, meetings, dinners and receptions to weddings and creative events, as well as three terraces which offer a rare open space with fantastic views of London. RIBA Venues can host up to 400 delegates in its tired auditorium, all its other meeting spaces have large, bright windows and offer modern technology. Its art deco interiors add a touch of period romance to special occasions held at the venue, which has also provided the backdrop to many films and TV productions. All profits generated from venue hire go straight back into supporting the work of the RIBA charity and brightening the future for architectural excellence.
