About the venue

Nottingham Contemporary opened in November 2009 in a new, purpose built £20m, 3,000 sq metre building, designed by architects Caruso St.

John, on the edge of the historic Lace Market, in Nottingham’s Creative Quarter. There are few more prestigious places to entertain and inspire – whether you are hosting clients, staff, partners – or simply celebrating. The spaces for hire range from a full scale – and fully equipped – performance space that can be used for conferences, lectures or parties, to smaller and more intimate spaces that are perfect for meetings and informal gatherings. We also offer full technical support, and in house catering from Café.Bar.Contemporary. Café.Bar.Contemporary – the most elegant, and inviting artist designed café-bar in the city. If the sun comes out the team will open the floor to ceiling windows that lead to the outdoor Terrace. Cafe.Bar.Contemporary is perfect for a private party, presentation or networking event, with space for up to 300 people. Situated on the lower ground floor, it is fully accessible by lift or stairs from our main entrance and has a fully licensed bar. The team at Nottingham Contemporary will work with you to transform these unique facilities to showcase your event.
