About the venue

The classical and elegant marbled Grand Hall provides a superb location for banquets, awards ceremonies, launch events and wedding receptions.

The Hall can be hired independently or combined with the Galleries for an exclusive private view of the Museum collections over pre-dinner drinks. A favourite with national and international speakers, the Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre offers a perfect setting for a conference, public meeting, concert or lecture. Accommodating up to 300 delegates, the theatre can be combined with hire of the Oriel Restaurant and Suite for lunch, poster and trade displays and break-out, or with the Grand Hall for interval drinks. For intimate dining the Court Room, situated in the Museum’s majestic dome, overlooks the Grand Hall and is ideal for groups of up to 40 diners. Catering is provided in house and the experienced catering team provides inspirational menus and impeccable service. All food is prepared on-site using the freshest, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients wherever possible.
