Conveniently located in the centre of the city, with easy access by air, rail and road from anywhere in the country, the Caledonian campus is a modern and accessible venue - minutes away from shops, restaurants, cinemas and theatres. On-site facilities include the Saltire Centre, our award-winning innovative learning centre, and the Arc sport and recreation centre, which is open to conference and event delegates. Dedicated conference and events team: The Conference and Events Office offers a comprehensive package of services for organising conferences and events of all sizes. Experienced staff will act as your point of contact within the university and manage the process for you. Venue space: We can provide a wide range of venues to suit your requirements. The campus is home to 17 lecture theatres, each seating from 50 to 500 people. The Carnegie Lecture Theatre is the largest (capacity: 500), followed by the Deeprose Lecture Theatre (capacity: 200), and we also offer a range of board rooms, meeting rooms and exhibition space. Best availability during semester dates is at evenings and weekends and, for larger conferences, from June through to early September. Audio visual: Our Audio Visual Services Department will provide technical equipment and expertise to ensure the smooth running of your event. Accommodation: Just a five-minute walk from the university campus, Caledonian Court can accommodate a total of 660 people in self-catering flats. Each flat has between five and eight bedrooms, and 340 rooms including en-suite facilities. The rooms can be hired on a daily, weekly or monthly basis from June through to early September. Hospitality: Our Hospitality Services can cater for a wide range of requirements, depending on the event. The student refectory seats up to 900 people, including an extension that can be hired separately for private use, and we also have a Corporate Hospitality Suite containing flexible facilities. Catering is available throughout the day, anywhere on campus, and menus are available on request.
