About the venue

Easington House was originally a farmhouse and dates back some five hundred years.

Built of local Hornton stone with inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and "creaky floorboards", the house oozes charm and character, and is reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Banbury. The site itself is said to date back to the 12th century and was allegedly owned by the nephew of George Washington, also the Bishop of Lincoln and the Reverend Risley Cotton. Indeed, this is a house steeped in history. The hotel is privately owned and operated and is set amongst trees in landscaped gardens which include a fish pond and private parking for guests. Situated on the south side of Banbury, Easington House is only a few minutes walk from the town center with its Castle Quay shopping complex and is handy for junction 11 of the M40 motorway. Easington House also makes an ideal base for exploring the nearby Cotswolds and many other local places of interest. Easington House is non-smoking throughout. Smoking is not allowed in the any of the rooms, the cottage, or any of the public areas of the hotel. Easington House makes an ideal venue for conferences and meetings of up to 20 delegates. Basic room hire is £95.
