Conferences, Functions and Tourism at Trevelyan College Trevelyan College occupies a quiet position within walking distance of Durham's busy centre.

It is more than a home for students during term-time: close to major routes and with adjacent car parking, it also provides an ideal setting for conferences, business meetings and holidays. Named after Dr. George Macaulay Trevelyan, historian and past Chancellor of Durham University, the College welcomes students, clients and visitors from all over the world. Whether you are interested in Residential or Day Conferences, Meetings or Bed & Breakfast facilities, our experienced and efficient staff will be able to assist you in planning your event or holiday. The College has offered accommodation and conference facilities to visitors and clients for many years, and regular clients include travel companies, multi-national businesses, public authorities, literary societies and individuals who appreciate the personal attention and flexibility of our services and facilities. Conference Suite Facilities Sir James Knott Hall: Seating for up to 250 theatre-style, with a range of audio visual facilities including data projection and PA system with induction loop. Dowrick Suite: Seating for up to 100 theatre-style. Portable data projection and PA equipment are available for hire. Various room layouts can be accommodated in these flexible facilities, which are available for conferences, exhibitions, social events, presentations and meetings. The Sir James Knott Hall and Dowrick Suite are available all year round, and during University vacations other rooms within the College can be made available for seminars/breakouts, including the Bar which has been a venue for all kinds of events, from tea dances to belly dancing demonstrations! Meals are taken in the Dining Hall, which is a particular feature of the College. Our catering facilities have a well-deserved reputation for quality and our staff are noted for their customer care. We can cater for special diets and your menus can be tailored to your specific requirements at a wide range of prices.
