About the venue

Founded in 1916, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) is unique, part of the University of London, it is the only higher education institution in the UK specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.

It has become one of the world’s leading institutions of its kind. As one of the newer additions in 1995, the Brunei Gallery combines contemporary-style and comfort with all the facilities essential for a successful meeting venue, comprising a 15-room conference facility and a museum with two exhibition galleries. The Brunei Gallery is convenient, being centrally located in a quiet, attractive pedestrian precinct off the north-west corner of Russell Square in Bloomsbury, with excellent public transport connections and a choice of hotels. The Brunei Gallery offers meeting/conference, exhibition, and Japanese-inspired roof garden venues.
