The building as it is today, is a fragment of a large mansion, built in 1737 that once stood in this marvelous location. However, the beautiful views planned by Capability Brown can still be enjoyed, as can the peace and tranquility of this quiet part of Devon. All the bedrooms are decorated in an individual style, the majority enjoying picturesque rural views, and there are family rooms and four-poster suites for the romantic at heart. The hotel offers its guests the peace and quiet of the countryside yet, is only 4 miles from the city of Exeter with its many attractions and places of interest. The manager, Vikki, together with her staff, will ensure you receive a high standard of service in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. BUSINESS The management and team are dedicated to providing the highest standard of service. All packages are flexible to meet the changing and developing requirements of the Conference Organiser. We now offer free wireless broadband access throughout the whole hotel. The Hotel provides the general equipment needed in the meeting areas, ie. TV, video, OHP, screen and flipcharts. These facilities are included in the room rate. Other equipment can easily be hired. Bottled mineral water, squashes, mints, pads and pencils are always on our conference tables compliments of the Hotel. All rooms have good daylight and easy access for off-loading equipment etc.
