Advantages of using a Training Centre
Training courses can be held in a number of different venues, from Hotels to purpose built training centres, sporting venues, stately homes etc.
Initially identify the type of training required and the delegates attending.
It could be for a 121 session, groups of 10/20, a Board away day or a strategic event for customers and staff.
The right environment is essential for a successful course.
It may be worth considering if a purpose built training centre may better suit your requirements than a traditional hotel offering.
Dedicated training centres for large groups are usually out of town but with easy access to key roads, rail and airport networks.
Some are residential and the larger centres can offer up to 70/80 meeting rooms of different sizes and 300 bedrooms.
Training centres will generally have a flexible and adaptable approach to the company's business needs and the
Training rooms will be fully equipped as standard. In Training centres, it is usual for all rooms to have natural daylight, be comfortable and probably air conditioned.
WIFI and AV equipment, flipcharts, whiteboard, OHP, stationery, water, and unlimited refreshments are standard and this will remove the need to hire in additional AV equipment.
Some of the larger centres have onsite AV production teams, so you would be fully supported should equipment fail.
If the day delegate rate does not suit your requirements, a number of centres will offer room hire and then you have the flexibility of added what equipment you require.
The out of town centres are usually set in large, attractive grounds and this gives the delegates a chance to stretch their legs and recharge their batteries during break out times.
In all major cities in the UK, there are dedicated training centres for small groups, these may be located close to your offices and may offer a suitable alternative and less distractions from having training in house.
If overnight accommodation is required, this would have to be booked at a nearby hotel. In city centre locations, parking may not be provided at these centres and the additional availability and cost of this should be considered.
Dedicated training centres are ideal for more specialised training courses, they easily accommodate the needs of IT/Computer courses and specific mechanical training, with easy access for larger equipment.
Most Training centres will have experienced staff to meet and greet your delegates and assist with all back office services such as typing, faxing and a telephone answering service.
Training centres will also offer seasonal discounts and late booking packages which could be very attractive to your business.
